ACTIVITIES
The Corrèze is ideally suited for all kinds of activities due to its large amount of quiet, small, green roads and paths. Walking, cycling or mountain biking is easy to organize. But the Dordogne river also invites you to be sporty and relaxed.
Walking
There are many day hikes. These are collected in a number of guides that you can borrow at the reception. Of course we can inform you about shorter walks that you can make with small children in the immediate vicinity.
Cycling and mountain biking
You can enjoy fantastic cycling and mountain biking and a number of these routes have been plotted and brought together in various guides.
Moreover, thanks to the ideal location of the campsite, you can easily cycle on an almost flat road along the river to both Beaulieu sur Dordogne (5 km) and Argentat sur Dordogne (18 km).
In addition, many mountain bike tours have been set out at Sédières le Château, which vary from 5 to 95 km. Suitable for both beginners and advanced users.
Swimming
Our campsite is located directly on the river, so a wonderful dive should not be missed. The big advantage is that the current at our campsite is not strong and the little ones can fully enjoy the shallow part of the water.
The youngsters often enjoy themselves on the unique rocky islands on the other side of the river, something you will not encounter much further on the river.
In addition, the river in the middle of the campsite is sufficiently deep so that you can swim «normally» even at low water levels.
Would you rather go to a lake or swimming pool? Just ask for the possibilities.
Canoeing
The campsite has a canoe stop. This makes it extra fun and easy to go canoeing for a day (or more).
Thanks to our cooperation with a canoe rental company, there are many possibilities to put together a tailor-made tour for you.
You will be picked up at the campsite so that you can end up at the campsite.
Fishing
The Dordogne River is arguably France’s most beautiful and best river for fishing.
The stretch of river between Argentat and Beaulieu is known for its large trout and grayling and is very popular with fly fishermen. There are also chub, perch, pike and eel to be found. Even the Atlantic salmon can be found in the river. Many fishermen from all over Europe come every year to (fly) fish in the river. Trout are regularly caught directly from the campsite. Examples of more than 60 centimeters are no exception.
In the preseason we organize special fishing deals. For this you can use our safari tents or your own accommodation. Inquire with us about the possibilities.

Other activities
There are a lot of things to do in the area, such as hang gliding, horseback riding, tennis, rock climbing, playing golf, a tree course or Via Ferrata, it can all be found in the area.
But the activity in France to do is of course “jeu-de-boules”. Make use of our Jeu-de-boules court right next to the Dordogne while the children can play table tennis.
Both the ping pong bats and jeu de boules balls can be borrowed at the reception.
